Janay Harden, LCSW affectionately known as “The StoryTelling Therapist” is a millennial mental health therapist and author.

She is the CEO of Restoring Your Destiny Counseling & Consulting, a mental health agency in NJ. Janay comes with over ten years of experience working in the mental health field with children, families, and schools. Her multifaceted approach encompasses individual counseling, transformative group therapy sessions, and engaging mental health workshops.

Beyond her impactful work as a therapist, Janay is a best-selling, award-winning author, penning fictional novels and self-help books. Working With the Author

My work with Janay began in January 2024, initially focusing on her author business after a recommendation from a fellow VA. We outlined her goals and developed a strategy to streamline her brand and book releases. However, our work quickly expanded to include support for her therapy business, Restoring Your Destiny Counseling and Consulting, and her new project, The Monday Spa Club, which launched in August 2024.

Details of Our Work

I manage the operational aspects of both Janay’s author business and The Monday Spa Club. This includes:

• Author Business: I support Janay in planning book launches, managing ARC teams, tracking events and merchandise, and applying for awards. I also assist with financial planning and balance between her work and personal life.

• Marketing Strategy: My role encompasses developing newsletters, coordinating author swaps, and pitching to podcasts.

• New Ventures: For The Monday Spa Club, I help map out her goals, oversee member engagement, and provide logistical support for all activities.
